Established in 2001, AYA Homes specializes in custom home building, remodeling, addition and are focused on providing the highest level of customer service throughout the entire planning and construction process. With 23 years experience in building custom homes in the Atlanta metro area and then in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and now in Bay Area. Owner Shawn Ajdari has recently relocated with his wife to the Bay Area to help you build the home of your dreams, and to be closer to his daughters, who both work in high tech. He holds a degree in engineering as well as an MBA degree.
With a love for designing, creating and building, Shawn is driven to succeed in this industry because of his clients’ satisfaction and joy upon completion of their dream homes. Shawn is a strong believer that customer service and satisfaction are the key to a successful business, and his commitment to his clients is to build them a home as if he were building the home for himself.
In addition to construction, AYA Homes offers project development, due diligence for asset acquisition, construction management and administration for residential projects. We manage all aspects of construction and negotiated agreements with contractors, architects, engineers and suppliers for the project.

Shawn is helping me with a number of projects as I try to refresh my 100 year old house in San Francisco. He has reliable sub-contractors and he is extremely responsive. He will not be your cheapest bid, but he will show up when he is supposed to, and he will manage his subs. Shawn earned my loyalty when my downstairs bedroom flooded during a major storm and he came over as soon as I called him. He had people at my house the next day to rip out the carpet and he delivered fans to help dry out the sub-floor. We were not in the middle of any other projects at the time but he still showed up right away and solved my problem, including installing a sump pump and better water diversion method to prevent this in the future, repairing the walls, and repainting the entire downstairs. When everyone else in the city had damage and couldn't get subs, Shawn always got people to my house. And thankfully, due to Shawn's strong recommendation, I had replaced my roof earlier that year. The roof was rock solid during a massive atmospheric river. Shawn is good with follow-through and he often has to chase me down to move forward with projects, not the other way round.

Shawn, with AYA Homes does it again! He successfully fixed the leaks in our roof deck and the resulting rotten ceiling in the bedroom below. He got this done in one week. Then we waited for 8 months for our tile to come in, due to supply chain problems. The day the tiles were out for delivery, Shawn scheduled with me to finish our long-awaited deck a few days later. The paver tile deck was expertly done by Shawn and his workers. This entailed both cutting the edge tiles to fit and adjusting the risers to allow for a completely flat deck above the bitumen substrate. It turned out beautifully and drains well. We couldn't be happier with AYA's work!
